Oman – The Gulf destination for those who want it all
In recent years, Oman has emerged as one of the Middle East’s most attractive destinations for golfers looking for more than just a series of good rounds on a beautiful course. It combines top-class golf with an authentic, calm and welcoming atmosphere, magnificent nature and a hospitality that is hard to beat. Oman is also a very safe and moderate country where travelers – both couples and groups – can move around in safety and enjoy a holiday that feels both exclusive and relaxed.
The months between October and April are typically the best time to visit Oman. Here the climate is more comfortable and good for golf.
We tailor the trip to the individual’s wishes.
World-class golf courses at the top of their game
The country’s four distinctive golf courses form the heart of Oman’s golf offering. Golf in Oman is not a popular sport like it is in Denmark and Sweden. Therefore, the golf courses are not widely used. This also means that there are often good tee times to be had every day.
Al Mouj Golf, designed by Greg Norman, is undisputedly one of the region’s best courses and known for its long, open fairways along the Arabian Sea. A beautiful and accomplished links course. A course that can be difficult to play if you are a beginner or have a high golf handicap, it is a course with spectacular surroundings that make every round an experience.
La Vie Golf is a modern and well-maintained course with sharp lines, lush areas and a layout that suits both experienced and ambitious players. It offers an ideal balance between challenge and playability. The course can be adjusted from the teeing grounds, but if you play from the back, several of the holes require a good drive.
In 2026, a hotel will be completed right by the course, making this golf course the only place in the country where you can stay right by the golf course.
In the heart of Muscat lies Ghala Golf Club, Oman’s oldest course, with its beautiful rock formations and narrow fairways creating a unique atmosphere that demands precision and strategy. This course is more accessible for all players and is a pleasure to play with the beautiful mountain scenery.
Finally, Ras Al Hamra offers a scenic and different golf experience. The course can be played in the dark with lights, so it can be good to play on a slightly late rounds one day. The course combines sand, rocks and sea views in a relaxed and authentic setting.
Ras Al Hamre is originally a 9-hole course. But because there are different greens and tees, the course feels like an 18-hole course and it works really well. This course can be played by players of all levels.
Together, these four courses provide a variety and quality that makes Oman a complete golf destination.
Common to all the courses in Oman is the incredible maintenance and condition of the courses. Everything is razor-sharp and of the highest standard.
Hotels with high standards and exceptional service
Oman is known for its high quality hotels. Most resorts offer large rooms, beautiful pool areas and a level of service that is one of the highest in the region. Staff are attentive, friendly and professional, and guests often experience a level of hospitality that makes their stay special. Everything is designed for golfers to relax, recharge and enjoy luxury in tranquil and elegant surroundings.
More than golf – a wonderland of nature and culture
When you have days out golfing, Oman offers a wide range of experiences to make your trip even better. The country offers dramatic mountain ranges, deep canyons, idyllic oases and a coastline with crystal clear waters and white beaches. You can visit traditional souks, sail along the coast and spot dolphins, go on a desert safari, hike in wadis or explore ancient fortresses and cultural treasures. This combination of nature, culture and warm local traditions adds an extra dimension to your vacation that many golfers appreciate.
A destination for couples and groups alike
Oman is ideal for couples looking for a quiet luxury vacation combined with golf, as well as for smaller or larger groups looking for a quality trip with variety, great food and good facilities. The tranquil atmosphere, short distances, safe surroundings and high level of service make everyone feel at home and comfortable.
