Amendoeira Golf Resort is first and foremost a golf resort with two 18-hole championship courses, designed by Sir Nick Faldo and Christy O’Connor Jr., respectively. Both courses are known as some of the best in Portugal and offer two very different golfing experiences.
Faldo Course is a par-72 course where strategic play is key. The course features large bunkers, water hazards, and natural vegetation, and offers many beautiful and challenging holes.
The O’Connor Course is also a par-72 course and is located in a lush valley with water hazards, lakes, and mature palm trees. The large, undulating greens and numerous water hazards demand both precision and course management.
For those looking for a shorter round or a little extra golf, the Resort also features a 9-hole Academy Course, which is Portugal’s only floodlit golf course. It’s perfect for a quick round, practice, or a round of golf after dark. The Resort also features a driving range, a putting green, and a golf academy.

Spa & Leisure
Although Amendoeira does not have its own spa, there are plenty of opportunities for activities and relaxation at the Resort. The Sports Club features tennis courts, padel courts, soccer fields, a fitness center, and a running trail approximately 1 km long. There are also several outdoor swimming pools and nice areas for relaxing.

Amendoeira Golf Resort is situated in scenic surroundings in the heart of the Algarve, surrounded by green valleys and olive groves, with the Monchique Mountains in the background. The resort is close to the historic town of Silves and about a 10-minute drive from the coastal town of Armação de Pêra, with its sandy beaches, restaurants, and bars. Albufeira is also within a short drive and offers a wider selection of shops, restaurants, and city life.
