Golf courses

Heritage Golf Club has 2 beautiful golf courses; Le Chateau, which is right next to the resort and La Reserve Golf Links, which is up on the mountainside. Both have hosted the European Tour. When you stay at Heritage Resort you have free access to play on the Le Chateau course. La Chateau is a Peter Matkovich-designed, par-72 championship course. The course is both challenging but also playable for the average golfer. The course is set in lush nature with tall palm trees, beautiful flowers and stunning views. A course that many people imagine when they think of golf in Mauritius. A short distance from the Heritage Resort is the second golf course La Reserve Golf Links, designed by Louis Oosthuizen. This is a track that cannot be described – it has to be experienced! The course is built on a hillside and with great respect for nature. It’s a links-style course, as seen in Scotland and Ireland, where the holes are bordered by sea grass, narrow fairways and greens that are well protected by bunkers. The clubhouse is at the bottom of the hillside and hole 1 is at the top. You then play down the hillside towards the clubhouse, which means there is a view of the sea from every hole. Everything about this course is quality. Tees, fairways, greens, clubhouse and service are top quality. This course is not included in the price of the stay, but should definitely be a consideration worth including.

Restaurant & Bars

Heritage Awali also has a wonderful selection of restaurants. The main restaurant, Savana, serves mixed cuisine, buffet style. Infinity Blue offers international and seafood dishes. The very popular poolside bar, Amafrooty, serves snacks and salads. At Heritage Le Telfair right next door, you can find Gin’ja, a pan-Asian restaurant on the beach. Finally, C Beach Club is the resort’s relaxing bar, restaurant and beach club, open all day until late at night. Other options include Indian and international cuisine and an African-style barbecue buffet restaurant. Also try the delicious pool and beach restaurant, which offers a unique dining experience.

When it comes to wellness and relaxation, explore the Seven Colours Spa, decorated like an African village and spread over 3,000 square meters.
