Isla Canela Golf Hotel is a very cozy hotel located at hole 18 on the Isla Canela Old Course. It is a small and very cozy boutique hotel with lovely rooms, a beautiful pool and a great restaurant.

Isla Canela Old Course – the clubhouse is right by the hotel and the course plays around the hotel. It is a flat but challenging course with some water as the course is located in a marsh area. The course is characterized by a lot of vegetation such as palm trees, eucalyptus trees, olive trees and orange trees. It’s a beautiful and exciting course for both the very experienced player and the more average player.
Isla Canela Links – located about 15 minutes drive from the hotel (there is a shuttle from the hotel) on the other side of Ayamonte town and next to the Guadiana River, which separates Spain and Portugal. It is a golf course characterized by large wide fairways and beautiful views of the marshes and water. It is a course where the wind can come into play if there is a breeze. A beautiful course that differs from many of the other golf courses in the area.

The hotel offers a delicious breakfast buffet with many local ingredients. The hotel restaurant serves a selection of Mediterranean and international dishes. It is also possible to dine in the cozy clubhouse at Isla Canela Old Course. However, we highly recommend going into Ayamonte for a meal. There is a large selection of restaurants with delicious food. We especially recommend trying some of the local sea food. It’s also possible to go to the marina, where there is also a good selection of restaurants.

The golf course is surrounded by beautiful landscapes overlooking the sea and the Marismas de Isla Cristina nature reserve. The nearby town of Ayamonte offers charming architecture, authentic restaurants and a vibrant culture, while the nearby beaches invite you to relax and sunbathe.
You can also enjoy the lovely pool at the hotel when you’re not on the golf course. If you have a day without golf, we highly recommend renting a bike from the hotel and cycling along the coast.
