La Cala offers three championship courses; Campo America, Campo Asia and Campo Europa. Each course offers its own unique challenge, nestled in the hilly landscape that surrounds the resort. America jobs: This course offers some truly spectacular holes. This includes the par 5s of 6, 9 and 18, as well as the quite remarkable par 3 of 16. The hilly terrain on which the course is built means the course presents a tough challenge with many forced shots over steep, bush-covered slopes. Furthermore, almost three-quarters of the greens are elevated above fairway level, adding another challenge for golfers. In addition, there are small greens to aim for and they are well protected by strategically placed bunkers, requiring accurate and well-timed shots. However, the America course is slightly easier to play compared to the Asia course, thanks to wide, interconnected fairways and relatively few bunkers, leaving more room for error. As a championship course located at the foot of the Mijas Mountains, Campo America’s international status is also enhanced by spectacular views of the Sierra de Ojén and the Mediterranean Sea. The Europe course: The course for the more average golfer, an easier experience with generous fairways, flatter terrain and slightly larger greens compared to the America and Asia courses. Nevertheless, the presence of excellent bunkers and the appearance of the idyllic Ojen River on eight of the holes ensures you can never be too relaxed. Asia orbit: Although the Asia course is the oldest of the three La Cala courses, it still commands respect from golfers and is considered by many to be the most challenging of the 3. The course layout is even more hilly, the fairways are narrower and the bushes are more impassable than on the nearby America course. Therefore, the course definitely puts an emphasis on accuracy and control. This exciting course will guarantee a challenging round for golfers of all levels.
